DIY : Pimp Your Binder!

 Je gaat weer naar school. Sommige naar de volgende groep en de anderen naar de middelbare. Daar heb je veel mappen en schriften nodig. Ik laat een manier zien hoe ik mijn (kapotte) map pimp! (Dit kan ook op schriften) You are going to school again! To the next grade or to the high school. You need alot of notebooks (Back to school notebook ideas) and binders. I'm going to show you how I pimp my (damaged) binder! (You can also do this on notebooks)
Benodigdheden/Supplied
- Map Binder
- Kaftpapier of cadeaupapier wrappingpaper or gift wrap
- A3 papier A3 paper
- Tijdschriften Magazines
- Schaar Scissors
- Liniaal Ruler
- Plakband Tape
- Lijm Glue
Dit is mijn map. Hij is versleten en een beetje kinderachtig. Je kunt ook een basic goedkope saaie map kopen of een oude gebruiken.
This is my binder. It is damaged and childish. You could buy a basic cheap boring binder or use an old binder.
Ik heb A3 papier van de Action. Het is eigenlijk een schetsboek. Het moet wel een steviger zijn dan normaal papier, zodat het niet snel kapot gaat. Nu wil je het om 1 flap eromheen vouwen, zodat je een kant hebt die helemaal wit hebt. Doe dit ook bij het andere flap. Als je 1 basic kleur hebt hoeft dit niet perse.
You need A3 paper. I used sketchbook paper, and this is the size A3. It needs to be stronger than normal paper. You want to wrap it around 1 flap, so you have 1 side white. Do this also witht he other flap. If you have 1 basic colour, it isn't necessary.
Teken een driehoekje met je liniaal en knip dit uit,uit de kaft van het tijdschrift. Dit is steviger en dit is je hulpmiddel om alle driehoekjes even groot te maken. Nu zoek je leuke prints in het tijdschrift en wil je het gaan omlijnen met het stevige driehoekje uit het kaft. Knip nu het driehoekje uit, ik heb een heel stuk overgelaten zodat ik dit later precies kan uitknippen
Draw a triangle with your ruler and cut it out, out of the cover from your magazine. This is stronger and you will get all the triangles on the same size. Now you want to search prints you want and trace it with your triangle. Cut the triangle out, I cutted around it so I can cut it later precisely.
Nu willen we dit kant gaan bedekken. Dit doe je met kaftpapier of met cadeaupapier. Ik heb kaftpapier gebruikt. Ik heb voor 1 kleur gekozen, groen. Knip een strook uit die wijder is dan het rand (A3 papier is niet wijd genoeg), 2 cm meer van de wijdte en 1 cm van de lengte zodat je dit nog om kan vouwen en kan plakken. Nu plak je het aan de zijkant vast met plakband. Als laatste wil je van de lengte dit omvouwen aan de binnenkant en dit vastplakken met plakband.
Now you want to cover this side with cover paper or gift wrap. I used cover paper. I chose for 1 colour, green. Cut a stroke out that is wider than the edges (The A3 paper isn't wide enough), 2 cm more from width and 1 cm from the length so you can wrap it on the inside. Tape the edges from the width. Wrap the stroke from the length to the inside of the binder and tape it.
Als je genoeg driehoekjes hebt wil je het in de volgorde leggen die je wilt en nu vastlijmen. Ik heb modpodge gebruikt (1/2 deel water mengen met 1/2 witte kinderlijm of houtlijm. Ik heb 3/4 deel lijm met 1/4 deel water zodat het niet zo water is) wat niet zo slim was, doordat het ging opkrullen.
If you have enough triangles, lay it on a consecution that you want and glue it. I used modpodge (1/2 part water mix it with 1/2 part woodglue or that white glue. I used 3/4 part glue with 1/4 part water so it won't be that watery) but that wasn't that smart, the triangles were curling. So I encourage you to use normal glue.
Als je klaar bent met het plakken van de driehoekjes,doe er een laag lijm op het kaft van de map en schuif daarna heel snel het A3 papier omheen en druk het aan.Trim de binnenkant als je wilt en plak dit vast met plakband. Doe dit hetzelfde met het andere kant
If you are done with glueing the triangles, put a layer of glue on the cover of the binder and shove really quickly the A3 paper on the cover and press it till it's good. Trim the inside if you want and tape it. Do this also with the another side.
Als je klaar bent ziet het er zo uit.
If you are done, it would be like this.
Als het kapot is of je bent het zat, kun je het altijd eraf trekken en een nieuwe maken
If it is broken or you're tired of it, you can always pull off and create a new one.
